At the 18th annual Google Zeitgeist gathering in California, Google convened more than 200 global leaders across business, science, technology and the arts. Zeitgeist is an event that has served as a unique forum for ideas, forging partnerships and shaping what's next.
Over two days of conversations, performances, and debate, participants examined how innovation, creativity, and collaboration can help address the world’s most pressing challenges. They also explored how to use AI to boost productivity and had a front row seat to Google’s AI Quantum Lab.
Highlights included:
- Andrew Ross Sorkin, Mohamed El-Erian and Michael Spence held a discussion around economics.
- Martha Stewart and Ruth Porat discussed entrepreneurship.
- Katie Couric led a panel featuring David Friedberg, Sarah Guo and Ben Gilbert discussing robotics and fusion energy as drivers of future productivity.
- Jennifer Doudna and Dr. Eric Topol, moderated by James Manyika, explored breakthroughs at the intersection of CRISPR and AI in healthcare.
- Other sessions ranged from Sahil Bloom’s reflections on wealth and purpose to Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen’s call to protect the planet’s oceans.
