Applications now open for Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps 2025 — Seeking 20 AI-powered Indian startups!
India's startup and developer ecosystem is a hotbed of innovation, and Google is proud to be a key enabler of its growth. With our world-class AI technology and ongoing research at the forefront, we are excited to announce that applications are now open for the second cohort of the Google for Startups Accelerator: Apps program, supported by Google Play. This program is specifically designed to equip Indian app startups with the knowledge and resources to harness the immense potential of Artificial Intelligence.
Our inaugural cohort of 20 startups demonstrated the incredible talent and drive within India. Through intensive mentorship and access to Google expertise, they achieved significant advancements in their technology, UI/UX, and user engagement.
Now, we are focusing even more sharply on AI, recognizing its pivotal role in shaping the future of applications. This accelerator will provide a unique opportunity for startups to tap into Google's latest AI advancements, learn from our researchers and engineers, and build truly innovative, AI-powered experiences for users in India and beyond.
We also deeply appreciate the continued support of MeitY Startup Hub, whose collaboration is instrumental in expanding the reach and impact of our program.
With our second cohort, we want to empower app startups with AI features to scale their products and make a significant impact in the app ecosystem. 20 Seed to Series-A funded app-based startups will go through a 3-month mentorship journey in the program. These startups will receive tailored support to refine their AI features and tech approach, enhance their product experience, strengthen their security, and accelerate user growth—all with the support from Google Play, Android, and Gemini teams. Here are some highlights of the Accelerator:

To be eligible, your startup must:
- Have a published app on Playstore
- Be already leveraging AI or looking to leverage AI in their apps
- Incorporated in India
- Seed to Series-A funded
